yoga + Physical therapy

Yoga is a wonderful adjunct therapy to physical therapy.  Yoga has taught me how to connect and create a quiet space within myself and explore my body and mind in the present.  I’ve realized the power of listening to my mind chatter, my heart, and my physical body instead of distracting it with more stuff.

In my physical therapy practice, I’ve been able to collaborate with patients with varying levels of yoga experience. I also provide low impact and quiet mindful healing methods such as stretching and breathing. I believe that a holistic approach to healing cultivates a healthy mind/body balance.
